This page describes how giuliaballare.com collects, uses and protects the personal data of anyone who visits the site, fills in the contact form, or purchases a sheet music PDF.
The controller of the data collected on this site is Giulia Ballaré. For any privacy-related question, you can write to info@giuliaballare.com or via the Contact page.
Browsing data. Like most websites, the hosting server automatically collects some minimal technical data (e.g. IP address, browser type, pages visited) needed for the site to function, without directly identifying the visitor.
Data you provide. When you fill in the contact form, we collect your first name, last name, email, the topic you selected and your message, solely to reply to you.
Purchase data. When you buy a score through the PayPal buttons on the Shop page, PayPal shares with us the data needed to complete the order and send you the file (name, email address and purchase details). We never receive your card or PayPal account details (see next section).
All payments on this site are made through the PayPal buttons on the Shop page and are handled entirely by PayPal. At checkout you will be redirected to PayPal: this site never receives, sees or stores your card or PayPal account details. For information on how PayPal handles your data, see PayPal’s privacy policy.
The PDF is not downloaded directly from the site: after payment, Giulia will send you the file by email, to the address linked to your PayPal payment, within 24 hours of your purchase.
This site uses technical cookies necessary for it to work, and possibly third-party cookies (for example for the YouTube videos or Spotify albums embedded in the pages), which are only activated after you give consent via the banner shown on your first visit.
For a detailed, always up-to-date list of the cookies used, see our Cookie Policy.

To run the site we rely on a few providers who may process data on our behalf or as independent controllers: the hosting provider (Hostinger), which hosts the site and sends the contact-form emails; PayPal, for payments; YouTube (Google) and Spotify, for embedded videos and albums, activated only with your consent. Some of these providers are based outside the European Union (for example in the United States): in these cases data is transferred on the basis of the safeguards provided by the GDPR, such as Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
We process your data based on consent (for non-necessary cookies), performance of a contract (to reply to contact requests and manage purchases) and any applicable legal obligations (e.g. tax/accounting obligations for orders). Data is never sold or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
Data collected via the contact form is kept only as long as needed to handle the request. Order-related data is kept for as long as required by applicable tax and accounting obligations.
